Besides freelancing in New York last year, I worked as character designer on the beautiful show ‘Carmen SanDiego’, as seen on Netfix. Since moving back to the US in 2016, I’ve spent my time learning to become a better designer and painter. Thanks to the help of some extraordinary artists at Blue Sky Studios, who mentored me out of the goodness of their hearts, I am now capable of working as concept artist.
Before that, I lived in France and England where I worked on TV series as 2D animator, storyboard, layout, lighting and compositing artist. I took my Bachelor’s Degree at the Animation Workshop in Denmark, graduating in 2009. I also spent a couple of years running an internet startup. Despite its ultimate failure, I remain extremely proud of the whole affair. It taught me many valuable lessons.
My experience allows me to have a good understanding of most aspects in the production pipeline, may it be 2D or 3D animation. But the Art Department is where it’s at for me! That’s why I spent these last years retraining. I’ve worked hard, learnt much and pursued my endeavor with passion. I hope it shows.
